# Data Safety – Bangla Quiz

This document explains how Bangla Quiz handles your data and how you can request that your data be deleted.

## Data safety overview

We do **not** collect: email, phone number, precise location, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information beyond the display name you choose.
### How we protect your data
– Data in transit between the app and our servers uses standard secure (HTTPS) connections.
– Data is stored using Google Firebase; security is managed by Google’s infrastructure.
– We do not sell your data to third parties.
– We do not use your data for advertising targeting.
### Data sharing
Your display name and quiz scores (points, quizzes played) are stored in Firebase so that the leaderboard and profile restore work. This data is not shared with other companies for their marketing. Firebase is provided by Google; their use of data is covered by [Google’s Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

## Delete your data
### In the app (recommended)
You can **delete your account and all associated data** directly from the app:
1. Open **Profile** (প্রোফাইল) from the menu.
2. Scroll down and tap **”অ্যাকাউন্ট মুছুন”** (Delete account).
3. Confirm in the dialog.
This will **automatically** remove your data from our servers (Firebase) and clear all data on your device. After deletion, you will be asked to enter a new name if you use the app again. No manual request is needed.
### By email or contact (manual request)
If you prefer not to use the in-app option (e.g. you already uninstalled), you can ask us to delete your data by contacting us:

When you contact us, please include:
– The **display name** you used in the app (so we can find your leaderboard entry).
– If possible, **when you last used** the app (approximate month/year).
We will process your request within a reasonable time and confirm once your data has been removed from our systems.
